Coronavirus Pandemic – Is Relocation Still an Option?
For those of you who are in no hurry to leave their country, it is probably best to just wait out the Coronavirus pandemic. However, some of you may not have a choice in the matter. Whether you need to see your loved ones, apply for a much-needed job or seek medical help, it’s important you know that you have a place to go to – Canada.
Coronavirus Pandemic – Is Relocation Still an Option?
On Monday, June 22nd, president Donald Trump signed papers with new relocation restrictions for new immigrants. The new restrictions state that immigrants who hold American work visas that have yet to relocate to the United States, may not travel there until further notice.
Hi-Tech officials and other heads of various businesses protested against this move, claiming that it will significantly hurt their ability to hire immigrants with particular qualifications for positions in their companies and prevent the immigrants from applying for positions most American do not normally reach out for.
On the other hand, contrary to this big move by Donald Trump, Canada seems to have taken a completely different approach. While the Canadian government has Coronavirus restrictions in place, it is still welcoming immigrants into the country and encouraging them to join the work force through a variety of visa programs.
After taking a financial hit just like the rest of the world, Canada noticed an opportunity. By bringing in new immigrants to strengthen the work force, they can return to normal faster and boost the economy even further. The Canadian government even laid out a full immigration plan for the years 2020 to 2023.
If you are still dipping into your savings, this is your opportunity to get out there and start making a normal living again.
